Rifle – Hornets 3-Peat, winning both regular-season and tournament championships along with fifth place finish at states

The Emmaus rifle team wrapped up another outstanding season under the leadership of their sixth-year head coach Michael Schuler.

The Hornets went 9-1 on the season capturing both their third straight regular-season and tournament championships. They also had a strong showing at the state meet finishing fifth overall.

Junior Zach Brenner took home the top honor in the Northeast PA Rifle League (NEPARL) placing first overall with a score of 1000-89x. Brenner carried that momentum to the state meet where he finished 10th.

Another junior, Quinn Peck, also enjoyed an outstanding season placing eighth with a score of 897-63x.

Schuler, who’s assisted by Tom Yard, also noted the performances this season of seniors Abraham Fink and Logan Kuder along with junior Theo Johnson and freshman Evelyn Johnson, all of whom were in their first year with the team.

Other members of the 2024-25 squad included: seniors Bryce Dunn, Rowan Kratz, Shannon Yard and Jared Zetterberg; juniors Evan Borkowski and Jacob Curran; sophomores Joseph Bonaventura, Ethan Brown, Ryan Feldmann, Emily Grabinski, Chase Miller, Audrey Pawlak, Nevin Seitzer, Cole Stamberger and Gavin Zimmerman; freshmen Juliet Amdur, Martin Keane, Xaviar Nance, Evan Schaffer and Nathaniel Sieger.
