RECAP >>  Emmaus closed out its regular-season schedule on Monday night at Pates Park in Allentown by cruising to an easy 14-2, five inning win over Central Catholic.

The Hornets finish 13-3 in the EPC 16-4 overall after defeating the Vikings for the second time.

Emmaus outhit Central Catholic 12-2 in the contest. Junior second baseman Alexis Schoonover drove in three runs and went 2-for-3 at the plate, while classmate catcher Mason Roselli was 3-for-3 with an RBI. Junior left fielder Rachel Sherman added a pair of hits.

In the circle, junior Danika Barthol picked up the win (7-2) throwing 3 1-3 scoreless innings while striking out seven. Another junior, Kamryn Tokar came on in relief and pitched the final 1 2-3 innings.

For Central Catholic (4-12 EPC/5-13 overall), senior center fielder Ayanna Norfleet went 1-for-3 with an RBI and sophomore catcher Montana Nagle was 1-for-2. Senior Jenny Milisits suffered the loss after allowing nine runs on nine hits in just three innings of work.

Emmaus will now prepare for the upcoming EPC Tournament which gets underway on Thursday. The Hornets will host a quarterfinal round game.
