Amanda King had a career day in helping Emmaus get back into the win column on Wednesday afternoon.

The Hornets senior designated player had a career-best six RBI to go along with three hits as Emmaus bounced back from a tough one-run loss to Whitehall 24 hours earlier, rolling to a 15-1 six inning win over Central Catholic at Pates Park.

Sophomore pitcher Mari Eiswerth was outstanding in the circle tossing a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts. Eiswerth also helped her own cause at the plate going 3-for-3 with a triple and two RBI.

Senior second baseman Sadie Haefeli drove in three runs with a bases-clearing double, while sophomore catcher Morgan Schwab and senior right fielder Sophia Tranguch each added a pair of hits for the Hornets who improved to 10-2 in the EPC and 13-3 overall.

Central Catholic managed just a pair of hits in the game. The Vikettes dropped to 2-8 in the EPC and 2-10 overall.

Emmaus will return to action on Friday at 4 p.m. as they host winless Allen (0-14).
