Coach Cari – ” I’m pleased with the attitudes, the effort and the competitiveness this team has show in the preseason. I’m really happy with the direction and this is one talented team. I’m very excited about what the future holds for these guys.”
“We did lose 11 seniors but we are also bringing back a ton of players. Last year I had four or five sophomores starting a lot and I have a big sophomore class coming off never losing a game on junior varsity which is a positive step for us. We are bringing back a lot of experience on our back line with Callen Reid and Alex Aiken, two of our captains, returning along with Thomas Hanvey. That’s one of the better defensive groups I’ve had. Connor Dang and Joe Huck are still fighting for that other spot. We are going to be one good defensive team.”
“AJ Febbraro was a starter for us last year and he’s going to take a little bit more of a playermaker role in the midfield and Eric Johnson was in our program as a freshman, took the year off in England last year, and he’s back and has looked wonderful and will be a key component. Jake Groh is another player that got some good experience last year and he’s ready to step up to a key role and we expect good things out of him and then finally my own son, Nick. He’s been a two-year starter and he’s dealt with some injuries so his time has been limited, but in the time we’ve used him he’s looked sharp so any time we can use him will be beneficial.”
