RECAP >> The Emmaus girls track and field team rolled to its fourth win of the season on a cold and blustery day Monday at East Penn School District Stadium as the Hornets defeated Central Catholic 107-43.
Head coach Kami Reinhard’s team won 13 of the 18 events as they improved to 4-1 on the season.
Emmaus won all but two of the track events, including sweeping all three relay races.
Junior Alanna Smith (100m/13.4), sophomore Halle Jennett (200m/28.5) and senior Kayla Kisthardt (800m/2:30.4) all won first place in their respective races and were also part of three winning relay teams.
In the field events, senior Julia Rakowsky took home top honors in both the high jump (4-05) and long jump (13-10).
The Hornets will return to action on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. as they’ll host Bethlehem Catholic in their final home meet of the season on Senior Night. Emmaus will also compete one day later in the rescheduled Pirate Invitational on Thursday at Palisades High School.
