Emmaus made quick work of visiting Pleasant Valley last night at home at ‘The Hive’ rolling to a 60-12 victory on Youth Night.
The Hornets won 11 of the 13 matches, picking up bonus points in all but three of the matches.
Emmaus improves to 3-0 in the EPC and 9-0 overall, while the Bears dropped to 1-2 in the league and 2-5 overall.
The match started at 107 with Hornets freshman Andrew Gerken picking up his second career win with a first period pin of junior Leo Phillips in 1:34.
Junior Emilio Albanese remained unbeaten on the season (13-0) with a :51 second pin against freshman Jimmy Stipeck, while seniors Xayden Sallit (172), Logan Armstrong (189) and Logan Roth (285) also picked up falls.
At 160, freshman Xandar Leonetti picked up his second win of the season with a 9-4 decision over junior Preston Snyder.
Pleasant Valley’s lone victories came at 121 where junior Shawn Radcliffe pinned freshman Gio Garlan, who was making his first career start, in 4:36 and at 215 as senior Evan Gillespie remained unbeaten on the season (7-0) with a first period pin over junior Chase DeCasare.
Emmaus will return to action on Monday, December 22 at 1 p.m. as they travel to East Stroudsburg South.
