Emmaus won all but two bouts on Wednesday night at Memorial Gymnasium as the Hornets rolled to an easy 54-8 road win at Liberty.
Head coach Jim Best squad, who picked up bonus points in nine of the bouts, improved to 6-1 in the EPC and 12-1 overall, while the Hurricane dropped its third straight dual in falling to 4-4 in the league and 7-5 overall.
Highlighting the night for Emmaus was senior Xayden Sallit (21-9) who picked up his 100th career win with a second period pin over senior Ethan Estojak at 172.
Junior Teagan Caciolo (22-4) also picked up a big win in one of the top matches on the night as he defeated junior Elijah Heimbach 8-3 at 121. Heimbach leads the Liberty squad with 19 wins.
Liberty’s lone wins came at 107 where freshman Max Milia won by tech fall over fellow freshman Andrew Gerken 18-3 and at 285 as sophomore Jason Doughty edged senior Logan Roth 11-7.
The Hornets will return to action tonight at 7 p.m. as they host rival Parkland on Senior Night.
