Boys Lacrosse – Younker and Whalen each score 4 goals as Hornets roll to 17-5 win over Saucon Valley

RECAP >> Seven different players scored goals on Thursday afternoon as Emmaus cruised to an easy 17-5 win over Saucon Valley.

Junior Zack Younker and senior Zach Whalen each scored a game-high four goals, while junior Connor Flok and senior Adam Monek both recorded hat tricks for the Hornets who improved to 3-0 on the season.

Seniors Justin Hollinger and Nate Seidel also scored goals in the win along with sophomore Aidan Garrett. Freshman Will Barber had game-high three assists, while junior Liam Porecca also dished out two helpers. In goal, senior Ben Franco had seven saves with junior Jared Speicher recording one.

Saucon Valley (1-3) was led in scoring by Colin Zyck who had a pair of goals.

Emmaus will return to action on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. as they host Hershey. The game will be carried LIVE on www.easternpasportsnetwork beginning at 3:15 p.m.
