Boys Basketball – Boyd scores career-high 16 points, Tulio adds career-best 14 as Hornets snap four-game losing skid with 64-39 rout of Oxford in Cedar Crest Tournament.

RECAP >> Emmaus raced out to an early lead against Oxford in its consolation game on Saturday night of the Cedar Crest Tournament and were never challenged as they picked up their first win in two weeks with an easy 64-39 victory in the battle of the Hornets.

A season-high 11 different players figured in the scoring column for Emmaus, which improved to 3-7 overall following a four-game losing streak. The 64 points was also the most scored by the team this season.

Senior Mason Boyd led the way with a career-high 16 points and was named to the all-tournament team. Junior Patrick Tulio also had a solid game and also finished with a career-best effort with 14 points for the Hornets who led 18-6 after one quarter and 34-15 at the half.

Oxford, which dropped to 3-6 on the season, was led by Thomas Repetz who had a team-high 14 points.

Emmaus will be back in action on Thursday, January 2 at 7 p.m. when they return to Eastern Pennsylvania Conference play hosting Bethlehem Catholic. Penn Sports Radio will have LIVE coverage beginning with the pregame show at 6:45 p.m.
