Girls Basketball – De Vita scores career-high 17 points, Hornets improve to 5-0 on the season with 42-33 win at Whitehall

RECAP >> The Lady Hornets continued their red-hot start to the season with a 42-33 road win at Whitehall last night.

Freshman standout Gabrielle De Vita scored a career-high 17 points to lead all scorers as Emmaus remained unbeaten in improving to 5-0, marking the best start for head coach Kelsey Gallagher in her six years.

Junior Mya Cooper added a season-high 13 points in the win.

Whitehall remained winless with the defeat and dropped to 0-4 on the season. The Zephyrs were led in scoring by Jade Alvarez who had a team-high 11 points.

Emmaus will return to action on Friday as they travel to East Stroudsburg South. Tip off is set for 7 p.m.
