Girls Basketball – Hornets hang with rival Parkland into the fourth quarter before the Trojans pull away for 50-39 win

RECAP >> Emmaus went on the road and battled rival Parkland late into the second half before the Trojans eventually pulled away for a 50-39 victory.

Senior Paige Inman led the Hornets in scoring for the fourth straight game as she finished with a team-high 12 points, while junior Taylor Griffith added 11. The loss was the second in the last three games for Emmaus which dropped Emmaus to 7-2 in the EPC 10-4 overall.

Parkland (9-0 EPC/11-1) had a balanced scoring attack with three players reaching double figures. Junior Talia Zurinskas led all scorers with a game-high 18 points, classmate Madison Siggins added 16 and sophomore Delaney Chilcote 10 for the Trojans who won their sixth straight.

Emmaus returns to action on Tuesday at 7 p.m. with another tough road test traveling to unbeaten Easton. The two teams met earlier this season with the Red Rovers winning 54-24.
