Girls Basketball – Whitehall spoils Emmaus’ Senior Night as they send Hornets to their 14th straight defeat in season-ending 37-24 loss

RECAP — Whitehall spoiled Emmaus’ Senior Night on Wednesday at ‘The Hive’ as the visiting Zephyrs ended a long and tough 2018-19 season for the Hornets handing them a 37-24 setback.

The loss was the 14th straight for second year head coach Kelsey Gallagher’s team which went winless in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference (EPC) at 0-16 and finished at just 2-20 overall, marking the fewest wins in the program since the 2008-09 season (4-18). It was also the seventh straight losing season for the Hornets.

Emmaus, which fell to Whitehall for the second time this season, never led against the Zephyrs as they managed just six first half points in trailing by 16 at the half 22-6.

Sophomores Bianca Rollins and Gabrielle Martin each scored a team-high six points to lead the Hornets.

Whitehall, which ended its season at 5-11 in the EPC and 7-15 overall, was led by junior Grace Clary who had a game-high 12 points.

Prior to the game, Emmaus honored its only two seniors — Anne Glowacki and Ky Anthony.
