Milestones were the theme of the night at Memorial Field on Thursday night as the Hornets rolled to a 17-5 victory over Liberty.
Senior goalie Alani Shotwell recorded her 300th career save, while classmate Bri McClain also reached a personal milestone with career goal No.100 as the Hornets picked up their second straight win to improve to 6-5 on the season.
A total of nine different players scored goals in the win for head coach Roxanne Betz’s squad.
Sophomore Rylie Poll led all scorers with a career-high five goals, McClain added two goals and two assists, seniors Jordyn Poll and Olivia Schmidt each scored a pair of goals, while sophomore Sarah Gross added two tallies. Senior Melea Weber had a game-high three assists.
For Liberty (4-7 overall), Ellis Corr led the way with two goals and six draw controls. In goal, Erika Broesicke was busy making 15 saves.
Emmaus will return to action on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. as they travel to Southern Lehigh.
