Girls Soccer – Freshman Bender nets first career hat trick, seven others score goals in Hornets 9-0 rout of Liberty.

Emmaus 9, Liberty 0 (Girls Soccer)

Freshman Elizabeth Bender scored her first career varsity hat trick in leading the Hornets to their third straight shutout win of the season, 9-0 over Liberty last night at Memorial Field.

Bender was of seven different players to score a goal for Emmaus which improved to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the EPC.

Junior Kam McWhinney had a game-high two assists to go along with her second goal of the season, while senior Sammy Walkiewicz scored her third.

Emmaus will return to action on Friday at 3:30 p.m. as they travel to Whitehall (1-1 EPC/2-1 overall).
