Golf – Schurman shoots low round of day in EPC opener as Hornets defeat PM East and Pleasant Valley

RECAP >> Emmaus senior Noah Schurman had the low score of the day with a 1-under 71 as Emmaus opened up its Eastern Pennsylvania Conference schedule yesterday with a quad match vs. Northampton, Pocono Mountain East and Pleasant Valley at Indian Mountain Golf Course in Kresgeville.

The Hornets had a team score of 403, good for second place only behind Northampton which finished first at 382.

Freshman Evan Walters was nine shots behind Schurman in the Hornets lineup with a score of 80, followed by sophomore Kyan DeLong (82) and seniors Zach Yenawine (83) and Andrew Kleist (87).

Evan Murphy of Pocono Mountain East finished second overall (Even 72) while Pleasant Valley’s Lydon Patascher was third (73).

Emmaus will return to action on Tuesday, August 22 at 2 p.m. when they travel to Riverview GC to take on Easton, Bethlehem Catholic and Whitehall.
