GAME NOTES: After being upset in the opening-round of the EPC playoffs by Pleasant Valley on May 13, 4-2 Emmaus has another shot at revenge against the Bears with the winner moving onto the semifinals … In that defeat to PV, the Hornets were hurt in the field with five errors …Prior to the loss, Emmaus had won eight straight and 16 of their last 17 …A season ago in districts, the Hornets beat Liberty in the opening-round 11-3 before losing to the eventual champ, Nazareth, 9-2 in the semifinals …Emmaus has reached the semis the last two years. The Hornets have not won a District XI title since 2007.
