RECAP >> Kyle Moore broke a 31-year-old school record with his long jump of 23-01.5 highlighting the day for the Emmaus boys who routed Freedom 130-20 on Wednesday in their season-opening meet held at East Penn School District Stadium.
Moore, a junior, also took first place in the triple jump (45-04) for the Hornets who won all but two of the 18 events on the day.
On the track, junior Lucian Facchiano also won a pair of events capturing first place in both the 100m and 300m hurdles, while seniors Donovan McCargo and Blaise Verrastro each took home top honors in their respective races – the 100m and 300m – while also being part of the first-place 4 x 100 relay team along with seniors Tylik Jarvis and Dylan Darville.
Emmaus will return to the track on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. as they host Central Catholic.
