RECAP — Seniors Mark Swedberg and Zach Sabol combined 43 points as Emmaus opened up play in the KSA Events Tournament in Orlando, FL on Thursday afternoon with a 60-42 rout of Enka High School, NC.

Emmaus coach Steve Yoder: “We got off to fast start today and we were up by double digits most of the game. The second half got really chippy and there were a lot of fouls and technicals in the third quarter Our kids were not as mentally tough as we should have been and we let that bother us. The game got really disjointed after that.”

“They (Enka) had no rim protector at all for Zach, who was outstanding in the game. He probably had at least six or seven blocks and must have had 25 rebounds. Zach got a lot of point-blank shots the entire game and Mark also got a lot of easy points around the basket. We just pounded the ball inside and we got a ton of layups because we really struggled from 3-point range (0-for-11). Defensively, we were pretty good today. “
