At Memorial Field on Monday night, Emmaus handed Nazareth its first loss of the season as the Hornets rolled to a 7-0 victory.
Coming off of their biggest win of the season over the weekend in a 3-2 victory over nationally ranked Oak Knoll, NJ, Emmaus dominated the Blue Eagles from start to finish getting goals from five different players.
Senior Megan Martino came off the bench and scored her first career hat trick to lead the offense for head coach Sue Butz-Stavin’s team who improved to 6-0 overall and 5-0 in the EPC.
Two other seniors – Madi Lenig and Gracie Huffer – also scored goals in the win with each player dishing out two assists, while freshman Ellie Fields had a goal and an assist. Junior Ella Horner had a game-high three assists.
Emmaus put an incredible number of shots on goal totaling 40 in the game while holding the visitors without a shot.
The Hornets will return to action at 4 p.m. on Wednesday as they travel to Northampton.
