Last year – 7-7 Eastern Pennsylvania Conference; 8-10 overall….Lost to Freedom 4-1 in District XI opening-round

Players graduated/lost – Sr. Sonya Boukengolts (No. 3 Singles), Sr. Erin Lavelle, Sr. Katherine Erickson, Sr. Catelyn Fitzgerald, Jr. Shannon Stewart (No.1 Singles transferred to Becahi)

Returnees (position last year) – Sr. Ivory Gao (No.3 Doubles), Jr. Mia Columbus (No.1 Singles), Jr. Misa Hollinger (No.3 Singles), Jr. Julia Marks (Doubles), Jr. Krissy Heilenman (No.2 Doubles), So. Riley Stuckey (No.2 Doubles), So. Tori Richards, So Alyssa Mugavero (Doubles), So. Payton McGlory (No.3 Doubles), So. Jocelyn Chow (No.2 Singles), So. Teya Gougoustamos (No.4 Doubles), So. Outlook – Emmaus has a new coach this season as Robert Dragotta takes over for Brian Bleam who stepped down after one season. Dragotta spent 30 years as the coach at Pennridge High School …..The Hornets were a very young team a year ago with just four seniors and 16 underclassmen ….Emmaus lost its No.1 Singles player Stewart who transferred to Becahi ….Mia Columbus returns and will replace Stewart at No.1 .Chow will move from No.3 to No.2 Singles, while Hollinger will be at No.3 ….

Coach Dragotta – “I’m very excited to take over the program here at Emmaus. The girls are really working hard in the pre-season and doing a great job. It’s fun for me and I’m enjoying it. I think we’ll do well this season. My goal is for them to get better every day.”

Season-opener: Monday, August 19 vs Becahi (10 am)
