RECAP >> The Emmaus girls and boys swim teams celebrated Senior Night on Tuesday by sweeping Liberty in a big EPC showdown held at Emmaus High School.

Head coach Tim O’Connor’s boys squad remained one of two unbeatens on the season rolling to a 118-61 victory, while his girls squad handed the Hurricane its first loss of the season by a 128-58 margin.

With the wins, the Hornet boys improved to 8-0 in the EPC and 8-1 overall, while the girls upped their mark to 7-1 in the league and 6-2 overall.

“The seniors had a wonderful senior night with hugs, smiles and great competition,” said O’Connor. “Many were able to either touch the wall first or to be part of a first-place relay.”

“It has been a really enjoyable year with the entire team, but it wouldn’t be possible without the great support of the seniors,” he added. “It has been a great ride with this crew and I wish them the best in all of their future endeavors.”

In the boys race, Emmaus won eight of the 12 events.

Seniors Ryan DeJohn and Andrew Taylor along with junior Logan Shriver all won three events.
