Wrestling – Hornets cruise to second straight league victory, win 11 of 14 bouts in rolling over East Stroudsburg North 61-15

RECAP — Emmaus had no trouble in picking up its second straight Eastern Pennsylvania Conference (EPC) league win of the season on Saturday afternoon as the Hornets made the long trek to East Stroudsburg North and came away with a 61-15 rout of the Timberwolves.

Winning 11 of the 14 bouts, including five via forfeit – Emmaus improved to 2-2 in both the league and overall. East Stroudsburg North remained winless at 0-4 in the EPC and 0-7 overall.

The Hornets recorded five pins on the day with freshman Jack Brion (145), junior Caden Wright (170) and senior Luigi Mannino (220) all recording first period falls. Senior Jackson Karrat (138) picked up his fifth pin of the season with a second period fall over Cristofer Torres in 2:56, while sophomore Conner Carter (182) had his first pin, decking Will Cordero in 3:01.

Emmaus will return to the mats on Friday, December 28 when they travel to Bethlehem Catholic for the Becahi Christmas City Tournament.
