Boys Cross Country sweeps PV, PME & PMW to improve to 5-1

The Emmaus boys cross country team improved to 5-1 on the season on Tuesday afternoon at Pleasant Valley High School as the Hornets defeated the host school (17-46), along with Pocono Mountain East (21-40) and Pocono Mountain West (15-50).
Emmaus dusted the field, placing seven runners in the top 10.
Leading the pack for the Hornets was senior Jacob Brown who finished first crossing the finish line in a time of 18:00. Shortly behind him was sophomore Keshav Shankar who took third (18:18) and junior Paul Petre who finished fourth (18:24).
Rounding out in the top 10 were juniors Mark Magee (7th place, 18:40), Mason Brown (8th, 18:41) and Colin Schaffer (9th, 18:41) along with sophomore Geoffrey Kleinberg (10th, 18:46).
Emmaus will return to the course at Whitehall Parkway on Tuesday, September 25 to take on Stroudsburg, East Stroudsburg North and East Stroudsburg South at 4 p.m.
