Girls LAX – Hornets roll to 15-2 win over Freedom behind eight different goal scorers

RECAP >> Eight different players scored goals on Monday afternoon at Freedom High School as Emmaus rolled to a 15-2 win over the Patriots.

Senior Bri McClain paced the offense with a game-high four goals, while classmate Jordyn Poll added a hat trick. Both players have now scored 33 goals on the season to lead the Hornets.

Junior Brooke Peterson had a four-point game with two goals to go along with two assists, fellow junior Abby DiComes added a pair of goals and seniors Melea Weber and Olivia Schmidt each tallied a goal and two assists for Emmaus who improved to 7-6 overall and 3-2 in the EPC.

Freedom was led by Karee Vandever who scored both of her team’s goals. The Patriots dropped to 2-4 in the league and 7-4 overall.

Up next for Emmaus will be a big matchup on Thursday at home at 6:30 p.m. as they host Nazareth (10-3 overall/3-1 EPC).
