Boys Tennis – Hornets make early exit from District XI Team Tournament after falling to Stroudsburg 3-2

RECAP >> It was an early exit for the Emmaus boys tennis team on Monday as the Hornets were eliminated from the District XI Class 3A Tournament after falling at home to Stroudsburg 3-2.

Emmaus, the No. 4 seed, got straight set victories from No.1 singles sophomore Sean Jaeger who remained undefeated on the season and classmate No.2 Quinn Erk, but the Mountaineers win able to win No.3 singles and then sweep both doubles matches.

Stroudsburg, the No.5 seed, advances to the semifinals on Tuesday to take on top-seed and two-time defending champ Liberty which blanked Freedom 5-0. Emmaus ends the team portion of its season with a 14-4 overall mark.

A year ago, the Hornets advances to the semifinals before falling to rival Parkland 4-1.
