The Emmaus girls lacrosse team put up back-to-back 18 goal efforts in a span of 24 hours as the Hornets rolled to victories over both Central Catholic (18-4) and Moravian Academy (18-1).
With the two victories, head coach Roxann Betz’s squad has won five in a row to improve to 10-3 overall and 5-2 in the EPC.
In Tuesday’s win at Moravian Academy, 10 different Hornets scored goals led by Ally Kusko who had a four goal, two assist effort.
Rylie Poll recorded a hat trick, while Evelyn Gavin, Avery Aquino and Lily Smith each added two goals.
On Monday at Salisbury High School, Poll, Younker and Aquino all scored four goals and Gross added a hat trick in the win over Central Catholic.
A number of players reached milestones in the past two games. Poll reached 200 draw controls, 100 points and 100 ground balls; Gross also reached 100 points and Madison Lenig now has 100 draw controls to go along with100 ground balls.
The Hornets will return to action on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. as they host Southern Lehigh on Senior Night. The game will be carried LIVE on The Eastern Pa. Sports Network beginning at 6:15 p.m.
