Behind a dominant pitching performance in the circle from Mari Eiswerth, Emmaus blanked Liberty 4-0 on Tuesday afternoon at Williams Street Field.
Eiswerth, a junior, allowed just three hits while striking out nine and walking one in a complete game effort as the Hornets remained unbeaten in the EPC at 4-0 while improving their overall record to 4-2.
Emmaus banged out 10 hits in the game off of Liberty starter Addy Smith. First baseman Abby Derr and pitcher Eiswerth each had two hits and drove in a run.
The Hornets got all the runs they would need in the bottom of the first inning on RBI singles from both Eiswerth and Morgan Schwab.
Liberty dropped to 3-3 overall with the loss. First baseman Leah Onia led the Hurricane with a 2-for-3 effort at the plate.
The Hornets will return to action on Saturday at 11 a.m. as they host East Stroudsburg South.
